“When you’ve got Moxie, you need the clothes to match”

Who is Miss Moxie?

Welcome to She Wears Moxie!

In college, I landed my dream internship in investment banking—at an exclusively male firm. Let me clarify: not a single woman had ever been part of a deal team there... until I walked in.

I did my homework before starting and knew I was about to spend ten straight weeks surrounded only by men. Still, the reality of stepping into that office and setting the standard for women made me reasonably anxious. The night before my first day, I frantically searched Google and read every article or blog post offering advice for young women entering the workforce. There are fantastic resources for professional women, but most of the bold and motivational ones were either focused on female entrepreneurs, written by influencers, or tailored to the traditional 9-to-5 corporate world—or aimed at those outside of it. But for those of us navigating careers that demand agility, grit, and a tolerance for chaos, those resources often miss the mark.

At that moment—when my daily interactions lacked any female presence—I saw the need for a space where women could connect, share advice, and laugh about the downright unkind days at work.

Now, as a young woman navigating the corporate world, I started this blog not to harp on workplace gender disparities (though, trust me, they exist) but to use my gift of sarcasm to tell stories—about the good days, the bad days, and my absolutely horrendous luck. Bottom line: I hope my unfortunate events entertain you while giving you some perspective and advice. To all the professional women out there, I firmly believe we need a little bit of moxie to prove that we wear the pants too. It's a fine line to walk, as many of you know—but a little moxie goes a long way.

Enjoy this blog & please reach out if you have any thoughts or comments - I would love to connect.
